The 3rd Russian Congress of UNESCO Chairs

The Chair was officially invited by the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Russian Congress of UNESCO Chairs (14-15 December 2015, St.Petersburg) to form the program and the concept of one of the three major sections of the Congress, which was dedicated to actual problems and prospects in culture, social sciences, and communications, to conduct it, and to present to the Congress its basic results and recommendations (for more information, see the official site of the Commission of the Russian Federation of UNESCO). The session gathered about 40 participants, mostly UNESCO chairs heads and/or their representatives from all over Russia, representing its major universities and research institutes. Conducting this task was most positively assessed by the Commission of the Russian Federation of UNESCO, which was stated in an official letter of appreciation of December 24, 2015, directed by the Executive Secretary of the aforementioned Commission, Mr. G.Ordzhonikidze, to the head of the Chair, Dr.D.Spivak.
